It is our pleasure to welcome you to this second edition of KeckZine, dedicated to USC Neurosciences at Keck Medicine of USC. Through this publication, we hope to start a conversation about how our expertise and technical capabilities can offer exceptional and appropriate stroke care to your patients. In this issue of KeckZine, you will read about our comprehensive care of patients who have suffered a stroke, including endovascular procedures and stroke-related research.
Through the Roxanna Todd Hodges Comprehensive Stroke Clinic and the Keck Medical Center of USC, we offer a highly specialized level of care and treatment for stroke and other cerebrovascular disorders that is unavailable in many community hospitals. We pride ourselves on offering patients a comprehensive evaluation in one visit as opposed to multiple specialists and clinics. We work with referring physicians to develop an individualized care plan for each patient that the referring physician can implement in the community.
For patients in need of highly skilled, acute neurological care, we are able to rapidly admit them to our service and arrange all transfer needs through our rapid transfer program serving Los Angeles and surrounding counties.
